We are a local store offering everything bird and more! We are located on rt 108 just outside of Slippery Rock in a 100 year old schoolhouse now housing The Birdwatchers Store! BWS has 4 acres of land and a pond on the property with walking trails open to customers and visitors all year round. We have been in business here for 18 years and recently transitioned ownership to Jody Roberts who has been at BWS for 9 years. We have a small staff and are big on community involvement and programming. We offer free bird walks the first Saturday of each month and host several other events throughout the year at our store as well as trips to the Aviary occasionally as well. We usually attend several festivals and events throughout the year. We are big into supporting local artisans! We have over 30 consignment artists in the store from around Butler County, Pennsylvania, and even a few other states. We carry local artisans work of all kinds: pottery, macrame, paintings, photography, woodworking, wire-wrapping, jewelry, books, needle-point, crochet, and so much else. We pride ourselves on offering high-quality products, a wide range of items and choices, and things you won't find anywhere else.
