SRBA Christmas party

General Membership Meetings

Thank you to the Fairfield Inn and Suites Slippery Rock for hosting our October General Membership Meeting. We learned a lot from our speaker, Lorraine Shaffer from Kid’s Innovation Playground. We even got to play with a few of the tech toys!

We are planning our 2022 calendar for General Membership Meetings. If you would like to be a host or speaker, please contact our Meeting Coordinator, Kara Shuty at kara.shuty@edwardjones.com.

Festival of Trees

A 35-foot artificial Christmas tree was installed at Memorial Park in Slippery Rock, Nov. 9, with the help of students and faculty from Slippery Rock University’s Hospitality, Event Management and Tourism Department, as well as Slippery Rock Development Inc., the Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and the Slippery Rock Municipal Authority. The tree will be a focal attraction of the Slippery Rock Festival of Trees, a 10-day event over three weekends in December that will include food and craft vendors as well as horse carriage rides, organized by students in SRU’s Event Productions class. Slippery Rock Community Library

Tickets are on sale at the library for the Holiday Basket Raffle!!! We have 14 baskets on display and there is something for everyone! Guess who's coming to town......Santa!!! Don't miss a special "Breakfast with Santa!" Saturday, December 4th, 9:00-11:00am at Slippery Rock Area Elementary School. Program sponsored by American Legion Post 393 & VFW Post 6231!

CO-ED Basketball, Grades 1-4 at Slippery Rock Area Elementary School. Developmental program to learn and strengthen your basketball skills. No nighttime practice!!! All practices after school!

Slippery Rock in Bloom

Thanks to this year's planting crew, 6500 tulips were planted in 2 hours. We're missing Jeff and Teresa, Judy and a few students who made it happen. Can't wait until next Spring to see the beautiful red tulips. Thank you all for taking owner ownership in our town!

Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company held its Annual Craft Show on November 13th

9/11 Memorial Service

The memory of those who perished on 9/11/2001 lives on through the heroes of Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Team , Slippery Rock Borough Police Department , and SRU Police.

Village Fest

SRBA sponsored the corn hole tournament at VillageFest. Thank you to the volunteers and for everyone who worked very hard to make VillageFest a huge success as always!
